Is America the Devil’s Pleasure Palace?

It was July 4, 1776, when the Declaration of Independence was adopted. Our forefathers had enough knowledge and wisdom that they wrote a document to last the test of time. The language in this document clearly states that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

The chaos that rages in the United States of America in 2022 is evidence of a nation that has been led astray by evildoers, a nation that has been “dumbed down” to believe in things that are not true, and a nation that chooses to hate more than it chooses to love.

Have you ever wondered if there is someone at the control panel playing a massive game of chess with the people in this world? It’s as if the pieces are being put into place strategically for a particular agenda. How else can it be explained that the United States of America, once the land of the free and the home of the brave has lost the American Dream mentality?

Michael Walsh wrote the book titled, “The Devil’s Pleasure Palace: The Cult of Critical Theory and the Subversion of the West.” In his book, he explains how a decision was made by cultural critics, Marxist philosophers, and sociologists in Frankfurt, Germany in the 1920s to kill, steal, and destroy the United States of America. In 1935, during the reign of Hitler, the Frankfurt school moved from Frankfurt, Germany to New York City. Namely, these men were attacking faith, family, and freedom by infiltrating the educational system, revising and creating new curricula that matched their ideology, and teaching more and more students their non-American way of thinking. Sound familiar?

Chaos theory is basically the idea that a small change in a system can have a major catastrophic impact. This theory is also known as the butterfly effect. The theorist, Edward Lorenz, studied how a slight change in a system can have a dramatic effect. The famous question is, “does the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil set off a tornado in Texas.” While Walsh talks about critical theory in his book, I believe the change we have seen in the United States is a result of a combined effort of critical and chaos theories, intentionally setting the stage for the destruction of our once-great nation. 


The Frankfurt School in Germany is inclusive of scholars such as Erick Fromm, Herbert Marcuse, Jurgen Habermas, Mark Horkheimer, and Theodor Adorno. This school of thought is based on Fredrich Hegel, Georg Lukacs, Georg Simmel, Georg Wilhelm, Georg Hegelian Immanuel Kant, Karl Marx, Max Weber, and Sigmund Freud. Their ideology is seen in the socialist economic system and communist political systems of China, Cuba, and Vietnam. These are countries with extreme poverty, poor living conditions, and political corruption. As more Americans adopt this worldview, I believe it is directly correlated to the rise in homelessness in America, the increase in crime, and the polarization of rich and poor with the absence of a middle class.

The United States of America was founded by people who intentionally left countries that were not offering freedom and opportunity for all people. Much of Eastern Europe (Czechoslovakia, Germany, Hungary, Poland) was under a communist political party until the late 1980s. People have fled such places to come to the new world in search of a better life with great risk to their own health and well-being. For many, it was better for them to try and start over in unknown territory than to continue living in the land where they were born. Why then, are so many Americans hell-bent on changing the way of life in America to be like it is in communist or socialist countries? I propose it is because the education system has failed in America, and citizens are convinced that Capitalism is not a good thing anymore. This education failure was intentional and the agenda was set by the Frankfurt School in the early 1900s.

“Make America Great Again” is more than a political slogan, it is a mission for patriotic Americans to protect faith, family, and freedom. To do this, we need to learn the true history of America and other countries, in order to understand why a person would flee from one place, risking everything to have a chance at a better life.

John 10:10 says, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” The thief is also known as Satan or the devil. Only such an evildoer would use his demons to hurt people.

The Greatest Commandment calls for us to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” It then says to “love your neighbor as yourself.” When the political and economic systems contradict this greatest commandment, we are unable to make America great again.

Daniel 12 details the prophecy of the end time saying that there will be “a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation…” He also speaks of the increase in knowledge. It has been said that the world we live in has an abundance of knowledge. We can learn new things all day long, but there is a lack of wisdom and common sense. James 1:5 tells us to ask God for wisdom and he will give it generously.    

This week, I urge you to pray for our country, read the Bible, and read The Constitution of the United States of America. It is our responsibility to have knowledge and wisdom, to discern right from wrong based on Biblical truth, to re-establish the American value system, to speak up for the American dream, and to make America Great Again.
